DELIGHT, WILL AND DO — 1ST MESSAGE

(WED PM 12/16/98), Sermon 1698, Rev B R Hicks, page 9.

Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory [Kabode glory, to my appointed destination]. Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee (Psalm 73:24,25).

“Who is my advocate in heaven but Thee? There is none upon earth that I desire [khawfates] beside thee.”

What a testimony of the person who wrote this Psalm! Asaph wrote this Psalm.

“Whom do I have in heaven and upon earth? I do not delight in any creature. Now, let me tell you

something. If Asaph could have this testimony during the Old Testament dispensation, under the

blood of bulls and bullocks, without an individual baptism of the Blood of Jesus Christ, without

an individual baptism of the Holy Ghost and Fire, and without an individual Baptism of the

Waters of His obedient death and resurrected life, and he could say, “Whom do I delight in on

earth besides thee,” he is going to bear witness against us who have all this message. Who are we

delighting in on earth besides our LORD?

THOUGHT OF THE DAY

Emotional Depression Book, Rev B R Hicks, page 40.

All sin begins with unlawful desire. For example, Lucifer's

sinful rebellion against God began as an unholy desire in his heart to

be equal with God. The same principle also works in our lives. All of

our troubles have their origin in proud desire for worldly

possessions and earthly independence. All our sin and all our wrong

attitudes involve our possessions and independence. Because our

human will is blind and stubborn, it takes God a long time to

convince us that real happiness is found only in His Master Plan as

we submit ourselves to His will and lay hold of the spiritual riches in

Christ Jesus.
